Panel survey of the research unit Subjects of Cohesion launched
The research unit Subjects of Cohesion wants to understand who participates in which forms of civic engagement and in which societal fields? Who withholds engagement? How does engagement affect social cohesion? What individual expectations and consequences are associated with civic engagement? How does engagement affect social cohesion? In order to be able to answer these questions in the future, a panel survey will be conducted among members and supporters of civic initiatives and organizations. The first wave of the survey started in August 2021.
Respondents will be recruited over a period of 28 days via social media advertising on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The sample is planned to consist of civically engaged persons as well as opponents and sympathizers of civil society initiatives and organizations. The focus will be on people who are involved in the topics of climate, migration and rents.
The first results of the survey will be available in spring 2022.
